Having suffered from auto-immune illness since late childhood, my life has been interrupted by periods of illness and a necessity to rest and take myself away from the world. Moon Face, which takes its name from one of the side-effects of the medicine Prednisone, is a series where I explore what it's like living with auto-immune and chronic illness. Along with a series of essays, these works create a record of this time and find something beautiful in the moments of rest and recovery.
